Every dog who walks through our door leaves looking (and feeling) their absolute best. We treat every dog like our own — no shortcuts, just proper grooming with organic and vegan-friendly products.

The best way to get an accurate price for your dog's groom is to give our friendly team a call on 01273 695631. We can talk you through costs for a full treatment or a bath and brush, depending on breed and coat.

All prices are from prices — we'll always confirm the final cost once we've had a chance to see your dog in person.

How We Price Every Groom

Every dog is different, so every price is too. Rather than a flat rate, we look at:

  • Size of the dog
  • Grooming history
  • Coat stage and condition
  • Coat thickness
  • Any medical conditions
  • Age
  • Temperament
  • Neutered or not

We'd rather get the price right than guess — so we won't over-charge you, and we won't under-quote and short-change the groom either. The more detail you can give us on the phone or in your booking form, the more accurate we can be, and we'll always agree the price with you before we pick up a clipper.

If anything changes once we've got your dog with us, we'll call before we carry on. And if you're ever unsure about anything, just ask — we love talking dogs.

Booking & Cancellations

New clients: a 50% deposit is required to secure your first appointment, paid within 24 hours of booking, and it's deducted from your final bill.

Cancellations: we hold that slot just for you and your dog, so we ask for at least 24 hours' notice if plans change. Cancellations or reschedules within 24 hours, and no-shows, are charged at 100% of the appointment fee. Cancellations can be made by phone, email, or voicemail — a missed call alone doesn't count.

Choosing a Dog Groomer Not sure what to ask or look for? We've put together a guide covering the right questions, best practice, and the qualifications your groomer should hold. Based in Brighton & Hove? Pop into our salon and say hello — we've got clients from right across Sussex and the South East.

First grooming trips should be a good experience, not a stressful one — so we've built a desensitisation package just for puppies. It starts with a gentle 15-minute wander around the salon, a sit in the (empty) bath to get used to the water and dryer sounds, and an introduction to our clippers and scissors.

We recommend three appointments, spaced 3–4 weeks apart, each around an hour long, including a bath, blow dry, and a tidy-up around the feet, eyes, and hygiene areas.

Hand-stripping is booked after a face-to-face coat assessment with our qualified groomer, Fran, at our St James's Street salon. This lets us judge whether it's the right fit for your dog based on age, temperament, coat condition, and grooming history. Your price is agreed after the assessment and charged hourly.

A note on matting: your dog's comfort always comes first, so we operate a strict no de-matting policy. Brushing out a badly matted coat can be painful and distressing, so where a coat's too matted to safely work through, a full clip-off is needed instead. Shave-offs start from £10 and are priced on severity — we'll always show you photos of the coat so you can see exactly why. Regular brushing at home and grooming every 4–8 weeks is the best way to avoid this altogether.

Good to Know Before You Visit

  • Arrival: please arrive no more than 5 minutes before your appointment time, and try not to be more than 10–15 minutes late — we run on a tight schedule, so a late arrival may mean a shorter groom, and the full fee still applies.
  • Collection: we'll give you an estimated collection time at drop-off. There's a 15-minute grace period after that; after this, late collection fees apply (£10 for 15–30 mins, £15 for 30–45 mins, £20 for 45 mins–1 hour+).
  • Not quite right? Let us know within 3 days of your appointment and we'll happily pop your dog in for a free adjustment.
