How We Price Our Dog Groomings

To find out more about the different types of dog grooming we offer, read our guide to dog grooming here. We consider every case separately. When pricing your groom we take the following factors into consideration:

• Size of the dog
• Grooming history
• Stage of the coat and its condition
• Thickness of the coat
• Medical conditions
• Dog's age
• Dog's behaviour
• Neutered or not neutered

We are proud of our work and do not want to overcharge you, nor do we wish to underestimate our work. Please be as precise as possible when describing your dog to us over the phone or on our booking form and we will always agree the price of your grooming with you before we start the job.

If anything changes, we will contact you before proceeding with the groom. if you are unsure of anything, please ask as we are happy to answer all your questions.  

Appointment Cancellations:

Cancellations made 24 hours or less prior to your appointment will incur the full charge of the appointment made. All cancellations must be made by phone on 01273 695631

If you are from the Brighton & Hove area pop in to our friendly shop and dog grooming parlour to say hello, we have clients from across Sussex and the South East of England.

A positive experience is a must for dog who will need to be groomed - We are so passionate about this we offer desentisation puppy packages to help your puppy experience an amazing first visit to the dog groomers!

We offer first time desenitisation packages with include a 15 min walk around our salon, a sit in the bath to listen to the sounds of the water and dryers, and a listen to our clippers and scissors. We then recommend 3 separate appointments about 3- 4 weeks apart. These last one hour and include a bath, blow dry and trim around the feet, eyes and hygiene areas.

At Slobber & Chops we only book a handstripping appointment after the individual dog has been in to have the coat assessed by one of our qualified dog groomers at our parlour on St James's Street.

We do this to ensure it is the right option for your dog, based on their age, temperament, coat condition and the dog's grooming experience.

Your individual price will be discussed once a groomer has assessed your dog. Prices are charged on an hourly rate.
